A South Carolina man is out on bond after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, who retaliated by severing his penis, according to a Greenville County Sheriff’s County report.

Suspect Dennis Glenn Slaton, 61, is out on bond after the incident, but his attorney told ABC News Channel 6 that he suffered injuries that required hospitalization for several weeks.

According to the incident report obtained by the news station, Slaton, a registered sex offender, met up with the victim at a Spinx gas station. During the meeting in his truck, the woman accuses Slaton of putting a knife to her throat and driving her to his home. Once there, Slaton allegedly sexually assaulted the woman and threatened to kill her. To escape, the woman bit Slaton, took his knife and cut his penis, according to the report.

A neighbor, Jacqueline Fair, told The Greenville News the victim ran to her home on Kay Drive, banging on the door and begging for help.

"I didn't open the door because you never know what's going on with that kind of stuff," she told The Greenville News last week. "And she was saying, 'Help me, help me, help me,' and I said, 'No, honey, we need to call the police.' "

The woman reportedly continued running down the street for help until she found refuge at a nearby Waffle House, according to The Greenville News.

Slaton is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. He is out on $75,000 bond with a condition of home incarceration, according to the news site. He was arrested again this month for reportedly violating the conditions of his home arrest and has since bonded out again.
