How’s this for a Merry Christmas?

A Mississippi man ordered one $2,000 diamond bracelet as a Christmas present for his wife from Jewelry Unlimited, which is inside Northlake Mall in DeKalb County. But when Dale Dickerson opened up the shipment at home, there were 48 bracelets inside, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“I stood there and just stared at it for I don't know several seconds because I didn't know what to do,” he said. “I literally just stared at it and was just dumbfounded. I was a nervous wreck.”

Dickerson, an Olive Branch, Miss., alderman, said there was no paperwork in the package explaining why he got 47 more bracelets than he had ordered.

He called Jewelry Unlimited and told them what happened.

"A manager came on and I could tell he had a lot of panic in his voice," Dickerson said.

He sent the bracelets back, and the company gave him a pair of diamond earrings to thank him for his honesty.

“I love the bracelet, but you know 48 would've looked better, wouldn't it?” his wife Sherry Dickerson joked. “I'm kidding. I love the bracelet.”

The Dickersons said they still don’t know how the mix-up happened.
