Man’s body found in ventilation fan of Midtown Atlanta building

Atlanta police and firefighters are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Friday morning in the ventilation system of a Midtown building.

The body was discovered shortly before 10 a.m. in a large fan on the seventh floor of a parking deck in the 1000 block of Peachtree Street. Channel 2 Action News reported that the parking deck is attached to the Loews Hotel.

Investigators believe that the man made his way into the parking deck’s ventilation system, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Greg Lyon said. No signs of foul play have been found at the scene, he added.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office is now leading the investigation.
