An unidentified man is in custody after "hollering and threatening to cut people" with a knife Saturday afternoon at a Walmart, according to WRBL.
The man was arrested about 4:30 p.m. in Columbus Park Crossing, according to the TV station. No one reportedly was injured.
The man caused a panic at the Walmart on Whittlesey Boulevard, according to Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren.
Some people reportedly chased the man out of the store and into the parking lot, where one local woman encountered him.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, told WRBL she was in her car in front of the Walmart when she saw people “running out of the store and knocking people over.”
She told the TV station that she drove toward the exit, where she was approached by a man carrying a hunting knife. The man got near her car, she told the station, but she was able to get out of the area without being injured.
