Lockdowns have been lifted at two Paulding County schools after a SWAT situation prompted officials to take the precautionary measures.

The lockdowns at Dobbins Middle and Baggett Elementary were lifted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Paulding County Schools spokeswoman Suzanne Wooley told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. Ashley Henson told Channel 2 Action News SWAT officers responded to a neighborhood on Haley Court off Pine Valley Drive, which is near the two schools.

According to Channel 2, a man called his wife Wednesday morning and threatened to commit suicide.

The man dropped his child off at school, someone saw a gun on him and authorities were called, the television station reported.

Police chased the man back to his house, according to Channel 2. There was no one in the home with him.

The man surrendered to authorities and is in custody, Channel 2 reported.
