Instead of charging an entrance fee to a holiday mixer at an Atlanta co-working space Tuesday, organizers are asking guests for donations.

Long Beard Media and Nu Influential are holding "Sugar + Spice: The Heartwarmer," an event to include live music, comedy, poetry, a DJ and food. Admission will be accepted through one used coat or an unwrapped toy that will be donated to One Warm Coat and Toys for Tots.

“Small donations” are acceptable as a substitute, a press release said.

Organizers aim to donate 30 coats to One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that distributes free coats to any person in need in the communities where they were collected. The planners also hope to donate 40 toys to the Toys for Tots Foundation.

The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at WeWork, 1175 Peachtree St. NE
