April 5, 2013The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta will remember victims of the Holocaust during a Yom HaShoah observance at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden, 5342 Tilly Mill Road.
The free event will be held rain or shine.
Jerome Legge, a Holocaust scholar and associate dean of UGA’s School of Public and International Affairs is the keynote speaker. The event is sponsored by the Atlanta Rabbinical Association and the MJCCA.
The program will include a lighting of the torches, a special musical presentation featuring Cantor Daniel Gale from Temple Beth-El in Birmingham, Ala.
