USA Fireworks received approval last week from the Gwinnett County planning commission to occupy 4,000 square feet for year-round fireworks sales at the Mall Corners shopping center in Duluth.
The 30-acre Mall Corners is a single-story, multi-tenant shopping center on the west side of Pleasant Hill Road, just south of the intersection with Satellite Boulevard. USA Fireworks would occupy Suites A and B at the northern end of the shopping center and has no plans to change the structure externally, except for location of one sign.
The request fits within the county’s 2030 Unified Plan Future Development Map and mixed-use character area. Planning commission approval will move forward to the board of commissioners for final approval.
