A 90-year-old Georgia man says he may give up driving after being carjacked at gunpoint at an Athens mall.

Robert Moon, a retired New York City bus driver who lives in Union Point, was walking to his Ford Explorer in the parking lot at Georgia Square Mall around 6:15 p.m. Friday when he heard someone say something behind him, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

“My hearing’s not too good, so I don’t know what he said, but I turned around and said, ‘What?’ and saw this guy holding a gun,” Moon told the newspaper.

The gunman grabbed Moon’s keys and drove off in his SUV.

Moon said he doubted he'd replace the stolen Explorer.

“I don’t think I need one, not at my age,” he said. “I’ve got people I can call who can take me wherever I want to go."
