19-year-old killed in Marietta wreck
A 19-year-old man died after a wreck in Marietta early Monday, police said.
The crash occurred on Johnson Ferry Road at Shallowford Road around 1 a.m., Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a news release.
Nicholas W. Woltering of Marietta was driving a green 1995 Ford Ranger truck northbound on Johnson Ferry when he veered off the road and hit a wood and concrete sign on the northeast corner of the intersection, according to the preliminary investigation.
Woltering was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he died.
