A Waleska woman was killed and two other people were hurt in a Cherokee County crash Sunday night.
The Georgia State Patrol said an Ford F-150 pickup and a Ford Fusion slammed into each other head-on rounding a curve on Ga. 108. The crash killed Courtney Reece, 20, of Waleska, who was at the wheel of the Fusion. Passenger Haley Reece, 7, was airlifted to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta for observation. Pickup driver David Rogers, 44, of Woodstock, was injured and taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
The GSP said its specialized collision reconstruction team is doing a follow-up investigation, and that charges are pending.
