Work session on aggressive panhandling scheduled for Sept. 5

The Atlanta City Council’s public safety and legal administration committee has scheduled a roundtable work session on aggressive panhandling. The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Committee Room 2 of City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. Chairman Michael J. Bond said he wants to discuss revisions to Atlanta’s commercial solicitation code, which has provisions against panhandling that are rarely enforced.
