Work on Gwinnett highways this week

Maintenance along two Gwinnett County highways will mean shoulder or median lane closures this week.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will sweep Ga. 8 from Lilburn to Lawrenceville and repair guardrails along Ga. 124. The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Friday, weather permitting.

The department urges motorists to slow down in these and other work zones.
