The city of Woodstock has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

The award was presented to Woodstock’s chief finance officer, Robert Porche, who is primarily responsible for preparing the city’s comprehensive annual financial report. It’s considered the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting.

The GFOA serves approximately 17,500 government finance professionals across the U.S. and Canada.
