The city of Woodstock has published its 2017 tax digest and five-year history of levy that calls for a 2017 net millage rate of 6.808, down from 6.992 last year.

The City Council is to set the rate at a meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Chambers at City Center, 8534 Main St.

According to the digest and levy, Woodstock will have a gross maintenance and operations millage of 6.992, unchanged from last year, and a rollback of 0.184 mills to a net M&O millage of 6.808. Net taxes levied will be $8.4 million, up from $7.87 million last year, for a net tax increase of 6 percent or $536,504.
