The Woodstock Planning Commission has approved a conditional use permit for a tobacco specialty “vape” shop in the busy Ga. 92 corridor.
The council signed off on a request by Harminder Thind of Springdale, Arkansas, who applied to put the e-cigarette retail store in a strip shopping center at 9745 Ga. 92, just east of I-575. A city planner said Thind didn’t intend to set up a full-fledged vape lounge on site but wanted customers to be able to test flavors. The commission voted to add a condition that any tasting area be limited to five seats because of limited parking in the shopping center. The operation also won’t carry products for smoking or burning other tobacco materials.
The proposal will be considered by the City Council on Monday.
