The Woodstock City Council has granted a request by Reformation Brewery to close Market Street downtown on a Saturday in September for its annual Cadence Fair festival.

Market will be closed from Mill to Oak streets, behind Reformation’s R&D Workshop and Tasting Room at 105 Elm St., from 7 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Sept. 28, according to Reformation’s application to the city.

The fair itself, featuring food, beer and live music, will go from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.,”celebrating the sounds, sights and flavors of our community,” the applicant said. About 2,500 people are expected. Bracelets and hand stamps will be used to control beer sales on the premises.
