The Woodstock City Council has approved a $109,500 proposal by ARCADIS engineering consultants to develop engineering plans for improving the intersection of Neese Road and Ga. 92.

The project will provide dual left-turn lanes on eastbound Ga. 92, and dual left-turn lanes on southbound Neese, to improve the operational efficiency of the intersection, according to a staff report to the council. Pedestrian improvements and work to make the intersection ADA compliant also are planned.

The measure passed on a vote of 4-0, with Council Member Warren Johnson recusing himself as he is an ARCADIS employee.
