Woman shot in leg during DeKalb robbery

A woman was shot Monday night during an armed robbery at a DeKalb County apartment complex, police said.

The shooting happened about 9:45 p.m. at the Kensington Station Apartments off Kensington Road.

A man walked up to the 24-year-old victim as she sat in her car, pointed a gun at her and ordered her to "give up her wallet," DeKalb police Sgt. S.J. Dean said.

The gunman, who was wearing a black bandana over his face, then shot the woman in the leg before running away, Dean said.
