A 33-year-old Carroll County woman was killed Wednesday when she lost control of her car and drifted into oncoming traffic, officials said.

Krystal Denise Cox of Carrollton was driving a Mazda 6 west on Ga. 166 when she crossed the center line about 8 a.m., according to officials with the Georgia State Patrol. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 67-year-old man driving a GMC pickup truck hit Cox’s Mazda on the passenger side, sending it spinning as the pickup truck veered off the roadway, the GSP said.

The GMC driver and his three passengers were taken to Tanner Carrollton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
