Investigators say a woman was found dead on Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County.
Police said the woman’s body was found lying on the sidewalk near a MARTA bus stop around 8:30 p.m.
A person passing by called 911.
"There was a witness that was walking by and observed her lying in the sidewalk,” said DeKalb police Lt. Rod Bryant.
Police are working to determine who she is and if the victim lived at nearby apartments and may have been at the bus stop when she died.
"She's very close to the MARTA stop, possibly waiting on the bus or just walking down the roadway,” Bryant said.
The victim is 17-20 years old and is a black female.
