A woman was critically burned in an apartment fire early Wednesday in southwest Atlanta.

She sustained second-degree, critical burns to both arms and her back. An 11-year-old boy had minor burns on his feet.

“A stove fire which spread to adjacent combustible materials displaced an adult female and three children from an apartment,” Atlanta fire Sgt. Cortez Stafford said.

The fire happened at a two-story brick apartment on Benjamin E. Mays Drive, according to the Metropolitan Fire Association of Atlanta.

The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. No other details were released.
