Roswell police have arrested two people accused in the murder of Karen Lee LaForge, whose body was found in a yard in January.

Petra Elvira Reese, of Grovetown, was charged Thursday with allegedly murdering the mother of three. Petra Reese, 55, is the ex-wife of Joe Reese, LaForge’s fiance, according to a Thursday press release.

Joe Reese, 56, found his fiancee unresponsive in the yard and called for help.

James Jerome Lloyd, 31, was also charged with LaForge's murder this week. Police called Lloyd, of Milton, a "known associate" of Reese but didn't reveal how they know each other.

At this time, police said, no one else is believed to be involved in LaForge’s death. Police have not yet provided information on a possible motive for the murder.

Originally from New Hampshire, LaForge, 53, loved photography, the outdoors and cooking for her children, according to an online obituary.

She died as a result of strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said.
