A $150,000 Fantasy 5 lottery ticket was sold at New Country Store in Marietta earlier this year. The winning ticket was paid July 22, 2016 after being picked up at the retailer.
The lucky ticket was one of at least nine winning Fantasy 5 tickets claimed in the metro Atlanta area from July to October this year, according to data from the Georgia Lottery Corporation. The lottery provided data on prizes exceeding $600.
At least $107.8 million in prize money was claimed during that time from tickets sold at area gas stations, grocery stores and other retailers.
All Georgia Lottery profits go to specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K program. Check out winning numbers at http://www.ajc.com/lottery/.
