Update:
The Wendy’s at 923 Veterans Memorial Highway passed its Thursday re-inspection by the health department.
The Mableton fast food joint scored an 88 during the health check, county records show.
The inspector noted on the passing report that there was an employee who failed to wash their hands after handling raw meat and another worker with “extended nails” handling food without gloves on.

A Wendy’s in Mableton has failed its most recent inspection from the Cobb County health department.
The 923 Veterans Memorial Highway outpost of the national fast-food chain scored a 62 on its Tuesday health check. Any score below a 70 is considered failing.
The eatery was docked for several issues, including a lack of disinfectant that can properly combat norovirus in the restaurant’s required clean-up kit.

There were also handwashing problems.
“Employee was observed handling raw meat and then directly proceeded to handle basket handles and utensils used by employee,” the report said.
The inspector also said the employee touched his hair and didn’t wash before touching equipment.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution called the store Thursday morning and asked for a manager, but an employee said one was not available.

When asked for comment, a corporate Wendy’s spokeswoman sent one that in part reads: “This restaurant received an A grade on its previous two health inspections. The results of the most recent health inspection are unacceptable to us, and we took immediate and appropriate action to resolve the issues.”
That location was given a score of 98 during its February 2016 inspection.
Follow-up inspections are usually done within 10 days of the original evaluation.
