It wasn’t immediately clear how many customers were affected, but there is no water service along the nearly mile stretch of New Providence between Ranchette Road and Ga. 140.

The city said about 11:15 a.m. that water service could be back up in two hours.

It’s unclear if there are traffic closures, but motorists should be aware of city public works crews repairing the break.
