Water main break in Cobb affecting traffic, nearby businesses

Cobb County water workers are fixing a main break in Acworth, according to Cobb government social media accounts.

The break is on Stilesboro Road west of Mars Hill Road, according to the county's Facebook.

Eastbound traffic at one point was reduced to one lane. “Several nearby businesses will be without water during the repairs,” according to the Facebook post.

The county tweeted at 9:30 a.m. that it would take more than two hours, and as of noon had not said the break had been repaired.

Cobb officials have not yet provided information on the cause of the main break.
