A nonprofit that delivers 5,000 meals a day across Atlanta is closed Monday due to Tropical Storm Irma, but officials are calling for help to resume operations Tuesday.

Open Hand will need extra volunteers to get back on track with deliveries after the storm settles down.

The organization is looking for people who don’t mind driving in inclement weather to deliver food over the next couple days, according to a Monday press release. Sixty of these drivers are needed to deliver Tuesday morning and evening; 30 are needed for Wednesday morning deliveries.

People who can pack emergency meals are also needed.

Volunteers can sign up here.
