When an armed thief pointed a gun to his head, a Lilburn gas station clerk attempted to fight him off, surveillance video shows.

The robber made off with nearly $1,000 in cash from the Trail Lilburn Road Mobil station, but the clerk was unharmed in the May 18 altercation.

Now, Gwinnett County police are looking for the gunman captured on video. His face and head were fully covered except for his eyes, but police hope his “unique black and red jacket” helps somebody recognize him. The jacket is a black windbreaker with a horizontal red stripe and a horizontal yellow stripe.

The suspect has also been described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35 weighing 145 to 175 pounds and standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10-inches tall.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
