Stone Mountain police are looking for the vandals who used a pellet gun to shatter windows at five different locations, including their own police headquarters.

Stone Mountain police Detective Manuel Norrington said a Main Street business owner flagged down an officer Sunday afternoon after he discovered someone shattered his front window.

As police investigated, they discovered shattered windows at a restaurant next door and at a gas station less than a mile away. They also found one of the windows at the entrance of Stone Mountain City Hall had been shattered. The Police Department is headquartered inside City Hall.

"We don't feel like anyone's life is threatened," said Norrington. "It's probably just some kids. We don't think anyone is actually threatening to hurt anyone, because most of the businesses are empty."

The vandals also hit Weeyums Philly Cheesesteak Restaurant, about 100 yards from City Hall. The owner found seven pellet holes in his three front windows.

"One was so bad, it actually cracked the pane," said owner William Dawson. "It could be much worse, you know? You just take it with a grain of salt and keep on moving."
