The Union City planning commission will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 in the city council chambers of city hall, 5047 Union St., to make recommendations to the mayor and council on a rezoning matter.

The applicant, BOC Acquisition 1 LLC would like to rezone 97.6 acres located at 3600 and 3580 Flat Shoals Rd. from office institutional and multi-family residential to light industrial.

A copy of the proposed revisions will be available at the Union City community development department located at city hall for inspection by the public.

The mayor and city council will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 in city council chambers to consider the planning commission’s recommendations.
