Union City announced Tuesday that residents will be getting new trash containers. The units will be replaced with the brand new carts by cart delivery crews which will be working throughout the month until the project is complete.
The city asks residents to roll the old cart to the curbside each week on their scheduled day of service even if it is empty to make sure it is available on the day that the cart delivery crews switch them. Since there are no changes to the recycling program, those carts are not involved in the replacement project.
