Kids in north Fulton County will get two chances to touch some big trucks this weekend.

Touch-A-Truck is returning to Johns Creek and Roswell on Saturday. The Johns Creek event runs from 10 a.m. to noon, while the Roswell event goes from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Both events are free.

Johns Creek’s event is put on by the city’s public works department, and  features front-end loaders, backhoes, fire trucks, and other public safety and construction vehicles for kids to explore.

The event will be held at Newtown Park in Johns Creek at 3150 Old Alabama Road. As a bonus, free water and hot dogs will be served, while supplies last.

In Roswell, the event is part of the city’s celebration for National Public Works Week. It will feature vehicles from the environmental and public works department, as well as fire, police and transportation. Kids – and adults too – can discover how a street sweeper works, or check out the ins and outs of a police cruiser.

The Roswell event will be held in the parking lot of city hall at 38 Hill Street.
