Two Roswell police officers were involved in accidents on Holcomb Bridge Road Monday afternoon while responding to a third wreck on Ga. 400, a police spokeswoman said.
Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland told Channel 2 Action News that the initial wreck happened about 6 p.m. on Ga. 400 southbound north of Holcomb Bridge Road. A woman sustained minor injuries when her vehicle struck the median wall.
Holland said an officer responding to that crash, with lights and sirens activated, collided with another vehicle when the other driver failed to yield at Holcomb Bridge Road and Market Boulevard. There were no injuries in that wreck, Holland said.
A second officer responding to the Ga. 400 crash struck a pedestrian at Holcomb Bridge and Grimes Bridge roads, according to Holland. She said the male pedestrian was taken to North Fulton Hospital in stable condition. The officer complained of an injured knee and was taken for x-rays, Holland said.
Holland said Alpharetta police were called in to investigate the pedestrian accident, which is normal policy when a Roswell officer is involved in a wreck with injuries.
