Outgoing panel members Nancy Boxill, who is retiring, and Lynne Riley, a state House representative-elect, bade farewell Wednesday in their final Fulton County Commission meeting.

Boxill was the first woman to serve on the board, appointed by former Gov. Joe Frank Harris in 1987 and reelected six times. Joan Garner will take her place.

Riley was elected in a 2004 special election to finish the unexpired term of the late Bob Fulton, then was reelected in 2006. She will be succeeded by Liz Hausmann.
