Although site work, grading and leveling has been underway for two months on the Trinity Triangle development just southeast of downtown Decatur, Assistant City Manager Lyn Menne said developers “are [still] working through the final details” prior to full-scale construction. Although Menne wouldn’t confirm it, the delays almost certainly include negotiations between the city, DeKalb County and Centro Development on how much to pay in enlarging and upgrading a DeKalb County sewer line on Maple Street.

Centro Development principal owner Kent Collins said in September that his company was in negotiations with the city and DeKalb County on how much to pay in enlarging and upgrading a DeKalb County sewer line on Maple Street and there’s been no word that the situation has been cleared.

“I think they’re very close to getting it resolved,” Menne said.

Trinity Triangle will eventually include 210 apartments (projected rents $1,000 to $3,000 monthly) and 6,200 square feet of retail and restaurants.
