One sure way to grasp the size of Gwinnett is to look at their annual expenditures for everyday items. At a recent Board of Commissioners meeting, Gwinnett agreed to renew a $136,878 contract for the purchase of trash can liners.
The contract with Southeastern Paper Group, in effect June 1, 2019 through May 31, 2020, will provide plastic trash can liners for the Departments of Community Services, Fire and Emergency Services, Sheriff, Support Services, Transportation, and Water Resources. Of the departments working together to utilize a State of Georgia competitively procured contract, the Department of Community Services requires $67,000 for trach can liners to be used throughout the park system.
