Gwinnett Commissioners approved a contract Tuesday with the Georgia Department of Human Services to purchase transportation services for Gwinnett seniors. The $232,707 12-month agreement with GDHS will allow Gwinnett County Senior Services to provide free transportation to and from senior centers, to and from medical appointments and other necessary transportation.
Staff at each local senior center use standard assessment instruments to determine the eligibility for services and transportation for seniors aged 60 and older.
