Sandy Springs officials have set a public information open house for Nov. 14 on possible transit alternatives in the Mount Vernon Highway corridor.

The meeting is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a brief presentation at 6 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 471 Mount Vernon Highway.

The city will present an overview of a transit study now underway. The goal, officials said, is to create travel options between the City Springs development downtown and the Sandy Springs MARTA station in Perimeter Center, east of Ga. 400.

It is one of the projects funded by the Transportation Special Purpose Local Optional Sales Tax (TSPLOST) approved last fall by voters in Fulton County outside the city of Atlanta. Information: http://bit.ly/2yLWh2J
