The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its May 7 regular meeting to pass a resolution regarding the acceptance of a transportation enhancement agreement for funding between Henry County and the Georgia Department of Transportation for the Panola Mountain Greenway Trail PATH project.

The board also voted to approve the abandonment and possible sale of about 1.5 acres of right-of-way related to the Campground Road Extension project. The land was deemed unnecessary and not serving the interest of the traveling public, according to county staff.

The property is currently being appraised in advance of its possible sale, having been declared surplus by a vote of the commissioners.
