Two lanes on I-285 in Sandy Springs will close this week, the city said Monday.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will be conducting geotechnical investigations on a stretch of the road.

The stretch of I-285 that will be closed are the two left eastbound lanes from Glenridge Drive to Peachtree Dunwoody Road.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday and last through Thursday.

Crews will work overnight, beginning at 9 p.m. and finishing up around 5 a.m.
