Folks driving around north Fulton County and Roswell on Saturday should beware of runners and road closures.

With the Possum Trot 10K in town, a few roads will be closed for an hour or more Saturday morning. The Chattahoochee Nature Center’s 39th annual race will take place along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.

Willeo Road between Azalea Drive and Bywater Trail will close at 6:00 a.m. and reopen around 9:30 a.m.

Azalea Drive between Atlanta Street and Willeo Road will close at 7:00 a.m. and reopen around 8:15 a.m.

Detours will be in place, but Roswell says delays should be expected in the affected areas. The 10K race will begin at 7:00 a.m. and the one-mile fun run will start at 7:05 a.m.
