Now CobbLinc buses are equipped with WiFi that allows commuters to connect to transit information and entertainment while on board.

CobbLinc staff also has developed two new ways for riders to access vehicle tracking information.

  • An improved bus locator web page can be accessed at CobbLinc.com.
  • A corresponding mobile application, CobbLinc BusTime, is available for download in the Android Google Play Store and the iPhone App Store.

Both the web-based page and the mobile app have a trip planning tool so that riders can input an address to have their trip planned for them.

The new web page allows users to select specific routes/stops. Then they can track the bus and see how far it is from the desired stop.

On the mobile app, riders also can choose to receive alerts about their favorite routes. For example, they can set the app to notify them when the bus is 10 to 15 minutes from the desired stop.

CobbLinc also can send alerts through the app such as information about major delays.

Known as Cobb Community Transit until 2015, CobbLinc operates 114 vehicles that provide local fixed-route, flexible fixed-route, paratransit and express transit services throughout Cobb County.
