Town hall meeting to focus on Cobb’s budget

Cobb County Commissioner Bob Ott will host a town hall meeting Tuesday night in east Cobb.

The meeting will focus on the county’s budget, which currently has a $31 million deficit. Commissioners are scheduled to vote on budget cuts and approve a revised budget next month. Options include reducing bus service, furloughing county employees and cutting hours at libraries and  senior centers and parks.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta.
