Travelers to Henry County spent more than $202 million in the southside county in 2011, up more than $15 million from the previous year, according to data released by county officials Wednesday. Those tourism dollars resulted in nearly $6 million local taxes and about $8 million in state taxes. Tourists spent, on average, more than $554,000 a day in the county. Most of the tourism dollars came from youth sports tournaments.
