Tiger at Zoo Atlanta expecting first litter
Chelsea, one of the Sumatran tigers at Zoo Atlanta, is expecting her first litter. The cubs will also be the first for the 7-year-old endangered tiger and her mate, 10-year-old Kavi.
It's been more than a decade since tigers have been born at Zoo Atlanta.
Zoo officials confirmed Chelsea’s pregnancy via ultrasound on May 20. Tiger gestation is about 103 days, placing expected delivery in early July.
