A stretch of three I-75 southbound lanes will close at night as crews create a bridge for the Northwest Corridor express lanes.

There will be closures overnight — from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. — through Friday morning.

The three closed right lanes will span from South Marietta Parkway to Delk Road, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The construction includes the I-75 southbound entrance ramp from South Marietta Parkway.

Avoid the area during those times. There will be message boards there to advise you of delay and detour information.

The express lanes are expected to be open to traffic early 2018.
