Charges are pending after a a weekend all-terrain vehicle accident on the Forsyth County Greenway multi-use trail near Bethelview Road.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s office said 39-year-old Matthew Holbrook of Cumming tried to cross a bridge, missed a curve and went through a bridge railing, throwing himself and two passengers to the ground. All three were seriously injured and were rushed to a hospital for treatment. The crash happened just before midnight Saturday.
Investigators said that speed and alcohol were factors and that a decision on charges is expected because ATVs aren’t allowed on the trail.
