There’s a new 25-acre retirement neighborhood in West Cobb. Come see.

A new retirement neighborhood with a clubhouse, multiple dining venues and an indoor heated saltwater aerobic pool has opened in Marietta.

Sterling Estates of West Cobblocated at 3165 Dallas Highway, is a 25-acre community that includes "independent living cottages, garden homes and apartments in a classic neighborhood setting with walking paths, beautifully landscaped courtyards and pocket parks for resident enjoyment," according to a news release.

This is the second Cobb County property from the senior community owner and operator manager, which opened Sterling Estates of East Cobb in 2012.

Sterling Estates managing partner Mike Brown said seniors are no different than anyone else.

"The success of our East Cobb property and encouragement from local officials let us know we were on the right track and inspired us to build another senior living community in West Cobb," Brown said in the release.

For members of the general public interested in checking out the complex, which opened late August, there will be an open house with "hors d'ouevres, beverages and live music from The Elderly Brothers," Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
