A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with a three-vehicle wreck that killed a woman last week, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Antonio Aguilera-Mora, of Cumming, was charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to obey a traffic control device for the March 7 crash that killed 43-year-old Lesia Elaine Bennett of Cumming, Deputy Michael Nelson said in a press release.
The teen’s Nissan Titan pickup truck collided with Bennett’s Mercury Mountaineer SUV at the intersection of Ga. 9 and North Old Atlanta Road, and the SUV was pushed into a school bus that was stopped at a red light, the sheriff’s office previously said. Bennett was taken to Northside Hospital Forsyth, where she later died. Mora was treated at the same hospital and released.
No students were on the bus, and the bus driver was not hurt, police said.
Mora is in the Forsyth County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $2,805.
